Yoga Acharya V.V.R. GANESH
I am a certified advanced yoga teacher and yoga therapist from India who has been practicing yoga since my childhood, training with esteemed yoga teachers, vedic scholars, yogis, spiritual teachers, and family elders. I completed my yoga studies at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in Kerala, South India and hold both the Yoga Teacher Training Certification and the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Certification diplomas through the Yoga Forrest Academy. I trained with and taught at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta International Centers and have undergone special Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapy Training with Esteemed Yoga Master Dr. Larry Payne, Founder of The International Association of Yoga Therapists, Director of Samata Yoga Center in Los Angeles, California, USA, and author of “Yoga Rx” and “Yoga for Dummies”.
I was born into a family of teachers and counselors in Kerala, South India, and I strive to carry on my family’s lineage of spreading mind-body-spirit health through yoga and ancient Eastern practices. As a child, I began my education in yoga and the healing arts with my grandfather and uncle, both respected motivational/spiritual teachers who served as my mentors and guides. I also have had the unique opportunity to study with and receive blessings from such masters as: H.H. Sri Sathya Sai Baba; Sri Tiruchy Swamigal; Mata Amritanandamayi (Ammachi); Yoga Acharya/Vedic Scholar Professor P.A.Seshan; Professor Padmanabha Velupillai; and Professor Sasi Velupillai.
In addition to my yoga qualifications, I am a practitioner in the ancient Indian health system of Siddha Vaidya, an herbal rejuvenation technique. I hold a traditional degree in Indian history, am a Rotarian, and serve as Associate Director of “Children Everywhere” which sends educational materials from developed nations to India.
For the past five years, I have been popularizing yoga and yoga therapy throughout China. Currently I am Director of Yoga Studies and Principal Yoga Teacher at Yinji Yoga International Club in Ningbo, China as well as Director and Master Yoga Teacher of Yu Huan Furong Yoga College in Yu Huan, China. As Director of Patanjali Yoga College of India, I conduct yoga classes, yoga therapy consultations, Yoga Teacher Training courses, and lectures in India, China, Europe, Thailand and the Maldives.
